Jill's salsa"This quick and easy salsa can be made in just a few minutes with a food processor. Green onions instead of white onions give it a nice, mellow flavor to balance the kick of the jalapenos. This recipe also works well with 2-3 habanero peppers instead of the jalapenos. But be sure to remove the seeds and membrane from the habaneros first! Grab a bag of tortilla chips, dip, eat, and enjoy!" INGREDIENTS 1 bunch fresh cilantro leaves 1 clove garlic 2 fresh jalapeno peppers 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained (I use 4-6 fresh diced roma tomatoes instead) 1 teaspoon cumin 4 green onions, sliced 1/2 lime, juiced ( I use 1 Tbsp -but use more to your liking) 1 teaspoon olive oil 1 tsp. salt (more to your own liking) DIRECTIONS In a food processor, finely chop the cilantro, garlic, and jalapenos. Place the tomatoes and cumin in the food processor. Coarsely chop the tomatoes. Transfer the mixture to a bowl. Mix in the green onions, lime juice, and olive oil. (I just combine it all together and pulse in my blender several times. You can make it as chunky or smoothas you want that way) Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 54 of 275 } { Next Page } |
