The ol' homestead

Pumpkin Patch

Howdy out there.... seems strange to actually get on here and post. Our internet is still going up and down for the last week and it is hard to share with you folks when the internet is not cooperating!

We have had a great week here. My second oldest son turned 21 on Labor Day and we had a great BBQ for the occasion. We spent the evening swimming and yaking and eating the evening away with friends at their place. Well, Son feels like he is 21 now and I am so glad he had a great time. He is so excited that he will be graduating soon (in Dec.) and is old enough to carry a firearm now. He is now looking for that right hand gun that he will carry with him through his career. My grand-doll was there (brought by her folks -sorry Sam) and is getting to be so big and is talking alot more now. What a sweetie she is! Her folks are doing a great job.

Boy, have we had rain here this week. But that is good as it has been a while since we have had some and even though the garden is in it's last stage of life, it is still nice to have water for all the other plants. The pumpkins are looking nice and orange, see...

And here are the gourds too...

Now for a chuckle.... a friend sent this to me, it is the funniest thing I have ever seen listed on E-bay:

Y'all have a great day!
