Good morning to ya!

I have been having some problems with this crazy computer and so I have not been able to blog much. It seems to be better but I think we will have to have it worked on yet. I wanted to share with you while I can, a few things that have been going on here around the homestead. First, our play "The Plucky Pie Murder"
will finally reach it's conclusion this Friday night, so you will have to check
back to get the full details of how it went and I will post pictures of the cast
as well. Big Miss will be glad when it is over as she is tired of being an egg!
Speaking of Big Miss, she is excited about 2 weeks of deaf camp she will be going
to in about 3 weeks, where she will get to use her sign language she has learned
for the past 2 years. She is very excited about it.

Secondly, last Saturday we went to a friends homeschool graduation. There was actually 2 young men that I knew that was graduating. It was very nice and it was so nice to go to a graduation where afterwards the reception is adjoined and you can just sit and visit and its a nice comfortable way to wish them well.
One of the young mens mother and I are really good friends. She is an awesome mother of 7 and has helped me in my walk of faith. She is my prayer warrior!
Here is a picture of her, some of her kids and her mom and daddy -since she felt
she had to stick her tongue out at me, I feel every right to post it here on my
blog:

And here are the graduates with Big Miss:

Today is a beautiful day and I am in the middle of washing sheets to hang out on
the line today. Don't ya just love the way the sun makes your sheets smell...
The garden is growing by leaps and bounds and last night we were happy to see blooms on several plants including tomatoes, squash, strawberries, peppers, pumpkins and gourds. The cucumbers, potatoes, beans, beets and onions are coming along just fine. Soon it will be harvest time and canning time and we will be reaping the benefits of our planting.
My niece 'Cowgirl Cutie', asked me to help her plant some tomatoes and cucumbers and so she
is excited to be able to have some fresh veggies this Summer too. She
planted 2 tomatoes in pots and 7 in the ground and tomorrow we will plant several
hills of cucumbers today.

The little wild roses are all in full bloom here and look so pretty. There is a
large mound of them down the road growing on a fence to a pasture. I went down and
got several root starts so that maybe I will have my own. While we were there we
plucked a bag full and had an idea that they would make a beautiful lei. So we snipped
and strung and here is Little Miss with her rose lei:

Lastly I leave you a picture of me and Randy that was taken at the graduation:

I can't wait to post about the nice apron I just made for a friends birthday -I promise I will get that up soon! Till then, have a great productive day on your homesteads!
