I wish I hadn't...

I am writing today with a wounded heart. Boy, I just hate doing something I think is smug and justifiable only to find out a few weeks later after being smote down, that your lessen today is....remember what you did a few weeks ago?... well because of that you now get this.... WHAM!

UHGG... why aren't I wiser by now??? I hurt a family member because of what I felt was "right", and even if I was, it's not about being "right" but being understanding and loving. It wasn't vicious by a long shot but I clearly overstepped my bounds. I am finding it hard to say, "Thank you Lord for that discipline", but really as much as it hurts, I do thank him because I recognise it now and I hope I will see it clearly next time. After a prayerful, tearful walk down the trails, I am now trying to come out of the corner licking my wounds and praying for more wisdom and discernment ....
