The ol' homestead

Apron and my girls

09:40, Thursday, February 15, 2007 .. Posted in Sewing .. 0 comments .. Link

I woke up this morning and before I even got out of bed I saw pretty white flakes floating down so softly. How beautiful of a site to wake up to this morning!

Today I plan on getting that apron made I have been wanting to make for a few weeks now. I have been using an apron that I have had for a while but it is too heavy and I just do not like it. So I found some lovely cute vintage fabic I picked up at a second hand store that has little roosters on it. It feels like a nice quality cotton, and so it should be very useful as well as stylish. The pattern I plan to use for it is one that I have had for a while and has the vintage look to it. It is a restaurant style with the attached bib and has side panels as well. The front comes down to kinda a v at the bottom and all the seams has trimming. How neat, huh? I will post some pictures of it when I get it together for you to see.

Today, we have some school to do as well as bread making. I thought I would post a sweet picture of my girls.

Hope you have a lovely BRIGHT and WHITE but TOASTY warm day!
