Lotsa canning and SNOW..... notLook it's SNOW.....NOT. It's just remnants of my little 6 year old sweetie girls bed pillows and teddy bear that she went outside to play "house" with yesterday and forgot to bring in and the pups found.Oh well (sigh) it is just pillows, right. My 16 year old shopsalot daughter said, "we don't really have to pick up all that mess do we", and so at this point I am really hoping for a big wind storm so my neighbors can pick it up....tee hee hee.
Yesterday on the homestead I got alot of canning done and today I am admiring all my hard work. I canned 14 quarts of apple pie filling, 4 quarts and 1 pint of pinto beans and 5 quarts of great northern beans. I still have another batch of apples to put up and I am thinking of making some apple butter. I also want to make some spaghetti sauce sooo, I am not done yet.
Here is me and daughter shopsalot (16) preparing the apples to can.
Here is some of the finished product for the day
And during all the canning, I managed to make us up some fresh milled yummy whole wheat butterhorn rolls to go with supper.
Here is daughter Little Miss (6) chowing down on one stuffed with polish sausage (turkey of course)
AHHHH, they smell so good baking! I'll get the butter out and ya'll come on over for one, ya hear? { Last Page } { Page 346 of 369 } { Next Page } |
