Whole Wheat Cheese Garlic Biscuits (like Red Lobsters)

This recipe is one of my family's favorite. You can also omit the cheese, and garlic for regular yummy biscuits to go with gravy.

Whole Wheat Cheese Garlic Biscuits

2 cups freshly milled pastry flour

4 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. sea salt

1/2 cup nonfat dry milk

1/3 cup oil

2/3 cup cold water

1 cup cheddar cheese

1 TBSP. melted butter

1/4 tsp. garlic salt

Mix together flour, baking powder, salt, and dry milk into mixing bowl. Combine oil and water to dry ingredients. Add cheese. Turn out onto lightly floured board. Gently but firmly fold over dough 2-3 times and form into a ball. Pat dough out to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into 2 1/2 " rounds. Brush with melted butter and garlic. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 13-15 minutes.

Makes 15 biscuits.
