Goodwill finds

A couple of weeks ago I stopped at the Goodwill Store and found these great yogurt makers!  There were two of them and I got them for $2.50 each!  I plugged them in to make sure they were heating and they were both working great!  I cleaned them up yesterday and now I am getting ready to make my first homemade yogurt. 

If anyone has any words of wisdom or advice on the yogurt making process, please leave me a comment.  If you have blogged about the process, leave me a link to your post, I would love to read more about yogurt making.

You are going to find this to be so simple! I love my yogurt maker! It is basically a matter of adding the correct amount of culture to your milk and the machine should do the rest. If you purchase a good, plain organic yogurt from the grocer it should be a fine starter culture. I find that when using store bought yogurt to start a batch I always need to add extra, though, to avoid having runny yogurt.
What a great buy! Don't you get such a rush when you get a bargain like this? I do!

I love Goodwill finds! I have a yogurt maker (auction find for $3.)that I am wanting to try for the first time also. So let us know how it turns out for you, I keep hearing that it is runny and I see that one comment said to use more starter, but it didn't say how much??
