Thomas....Thomas....Thomas....everywhere

Noah who is 2 1/2, is obsessed!  He discovered Thomas the Tank Engine sometime back.  He would take some of his blocks and line them up and pretend they were Thomas.  He lined up his toy box organizers down the hallway, anything that looked like a train.  So for Easter he got Thomas and a small track.  He loved it!  So my husband, being a little boy at heart, went crazy and bought more engines and train cars and track.  There is enough track to fill the room.  And it did for a while.  Then he took some off and left enough to make a good oval track about 4 foot across.  Noah has played with Thomas and the trains everyday since.  He wakes up and starts playing and he is playing at the end of the evening when it is time to get ready for bed.  He is completely obsessed!!  He talks about Thomas and Percy all the time.  So when I found out that you can actually ride Thomas...well, I am already planning a trip.  So if you have a little one who is hooked on Thomas go here to see if he his visiting a railway near you.  It is sure to be a great experience.

My son (Also a Noah, he will turn 2 in April), also loves Thomas. He has the Thomas Train couch that makes the train noises and plays the Thomas theme song and loves it. He also loves his Thomas shoes.

Thansk for the link. I am going to check it out now.

God's Blessings,
Amy Jo

we did the cheap thomas route - bought a huge no-name track, and suppliment it with the cool Thomas and brio bridges, wacky track, pyramids. ds6 got the first bit at 2 years old, and it is STILL a favorite of his, and his sisters also love to play with it. it is interesting how his enjoyment of the toy has changed over the years. he is now getting into the building of "really cool train tracks" instead of asking me to build it so he can run his trains.

this is the best kind of toy - it grows with him, and encourages his imagination.
