I finally did it

A few weeks ago I dug out my sewing machine from the garage where it has been stored since we moved here.  It needed cleaning and the cover plate for the bobbin area was missing.  So I took it to the local sewing machine repair shop and had them replace the cover plate and clean and oil it good.  I have been needing a sewing space, and sewing table for so long.  I always made do.  Until Noah came along I would put it on the kitchen table when I used it.  With the exception of a couple of places we have lived through the years, I didn't have a designated place to sew.  So I didn't do much of it, although I wanted to.  Well, I have been looking for a sewing table/cabinet to put all of my supplies in, and I found one that would work well in my small space.  I ordered it online and it arrived yesterday. 

When Andrew got home, he (and Noah) put it together for me and I have it set up in the laundry room right now. Once I get the garage emptied of the clutter, I am going to move the deep freezer into the garage and this will open up the space for the sewing cabinet and a place of my own to sew and do crafting. This way, I can start a project and leave the machine set up until I actually finish the project and not have to put it away at the end of each day.  And it is in a room that Noah doesn't have access to, (if everyone will leave the door closed). 

After all that hard work being Daddy's little helper, Noah was exhausted and fell asleep on the couch.

Love the new sewing cabinet. Thanks for sharing the pictures of your little Noah helping. How adorable! And the picture of him asleep on the couch afterwards....priceless. LOL
