Back home--have electricity

Well we had to go to Tennessee for a couple of days, and shortly after we left, the electricity was knocked out at our house due to high winds.  My daughter was staying in town with friends but going by the house to tend to the dogs and dealing with everything with the electricity out.  I called the electric company and they said it could be Friday the 1st before power was restored!  But finally yesterday it came back on.  We drove in last night about 9:00.  But while we were gone, my daughter and a friend of her's had to get coolers and empty the contents of my freezers and take to a friends house to keep.  I didn't want to lose all of my meat I had put up.  What a job!  So today I have to go collect all of my meat and I have to go shopping to replace all the contents of my refrigerator that went bad.  So basically, my freezer and refrigerator got an early spring cleaning!

Although I lost the contents of the refrigerator, at least we are able to salvage my meat.  I had the meat from our last two hogs that we killed and that was more important to me than anything else that was in there.  I didn't want to lose my pork!!

So I suppose I will get up and get started on the day and hit the grocery shopping early.  I am tired from the trip and don't want to do anything, but I have to work tomorrow, so I have to get it done today.
