Sugar Bend Farm

A very cold Sunday morning

It is very cold here.  Well not cold like some of you  have, but cold for us.  Did I ever mention I don't do winter to well?  Anyway, I let the dogs out and they went to the water bowl which was empty and I tried to turn on the water hose, and it was frozen solid.  So I had to bring them in to get water.   It is 21 degrees but says that it feels like 12!!!  This is the south, not Alaska!

Lauren is still in Utah and having the time of her life.  She said she thought she wanted to stay!  She got to meet Robert Redford the first day she was there. The family she is traveling with are friends of his. Last night she was able to meet Bono.  She is getting to see how the other half lives.  Of course we aren't the "star-struck" type of people, we aren't into that sort of thing, but it makes for interesting memories and stories she can tell.  She said she took some awesome photo's.  There is snow on the ground and the mountains are beautiful!  Can't blame her for wanting to stay somewhere like that.

I worked yesterday and it was busier than it had been since Christmas.  I was glad to get home out of the cold.  Monday is a holiday, and I am hoping that I don't have to work Tuesday.  I hate working the day after a holiday and after the weekend.  Because the mail is double and triple what it usually is.  I know God put me in this job, but I am getting somewhat tired of it!  Especially having to work every Saturday.  That is the only day other than Sunday that my husband has free, and of course, Sunday is church.  So we don't have a day that we can go somewhere and do something as a family.  So I really wish I didn't have to work on Sat.  If I could work one day during the week instead that would be better.  But then there is the problem of child care.  I haven't found anyone to come into my home and sit with Noah.  I would like to have an older woman that was more of a grandmotherly figure.  But so far, no luck. Many people have family nearby that they can depend on to help out, but we don't.  Please help me pray that God will send the right person along that we can all feel comfortable with, and that the Sat job thing will change.

Well not much going on right now.  I have Cajun Ten Bean Soup going in the crockpot and I am going to make a pan of cornbread to go with it for lunch.  Smells yummy!
