Ever notice when you start eating right; fruits and veggies; your body begins to crave more good stuff? It is as if I can't get enough. I suppose if you eat junk, then you crave more junk, but if you eat good things then your body naturally wants the good stuff. Which works out great, because one you stop fueling your body with junk food, and start filling it with healthy foods, it is easy to continue the good path. I have been a health kick and weight loss journey that started here. So far, so good. I have lost 16 pounds, quit drinking soda's(Dr.pepper), drinking lots and lots of water, cut the junk food, started eating good for you things, (salad's, less bread(only wheat), fruits, fruits and more fruits, yogurt, keifer, hummus and have cut out the majority of refined sugar intake) and watch my calories and fat closely. I have also started exercising again, and I can tell a world of difference. If I can just keep it up. I am looking forward to the summer when I can get fresh fruits and veggies at the farmer market.

We switched to all heavy gauge stainless steel cook ware (no teflon), we threw away all bowls not made of glass (no aluminum). We rarely use the microwave.
Never ever do we eat meals from the freezer section of the grocery store. We do not eat meals from boxes, or boxed food. (80% reduction in boxed foods in the last year). We have reduced our pork intake by 75%.
We use Tropical Traditions 100% Virgin Coconut oil in our baking. We use honey in the raw from local hives (no more seasonal allergies!! PRAISE GOD) for our baking sweetener. We cook with 100% Virgin Olive Oil (first press).
On my dh's side of the family ALL of the males have been on High Blood Pressure meds since the age of 32.
My dh is 38, and by the Grace of God Almighty, has never had a problem with his BP!!
These small changes have made a WORLD of difference in our family. My kids don't "crave fast food" and in fact, prefer eating at home. They seek out fresh fruits and veggies in the fridge....something that DID NOT happen 3 years ago!!!
