The call...

I got the call today.  I go Thursday for my medical assesment with the Postal Service and I start training on Monday!  I am very nervous.  I know I can handle the job, but I get nervous in new situations until I am familiar with it.  I haven't worked like that in a long time, so I am apprehensive.  The actual job is only on average one day a week and then whenever the regular driver needs off for medical, personal, or vacation.  So I know I can handle that, but starting Monday, I will be in training for two weeks and three days.  That will be hard, I am not use to that demanding of a schedule!  Call me lazy, but being a stay-at-home-homeschool mom, my days are set to our schedule, noone elses... so I will have to discipline myself.  After that, all should be fine.  I am praying still that the route I get provides a vehicle to drive to deliver in.  Some do, some don't.  So I pray that I get the one that does.  I am excited and thankful that God has opened up the opportunity to earn extra money for our household budget.  We have been under a great deal of stress financially lately, and need the relief that it will offer.  We are working hard to get our finances back in order and out of debt.  This will be a huge help in that endevour!  Thank God.

This morning God "dropped" a scripture just for me.

                                 It is Jeremiah 17:7-8

"Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.  For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit."

In the italicized words see and careful- the reference column in my bible says see means fear and careful means anxious.  So we are not to fear the heat coming and we aren't to be anxious when droughts come.  Those things really speak to me since I have been going through the heat and drought in my life.  I know God gave me these this morning because I needed them so desperately.  Thank you Lord for placing your words in our hearts.
