Big Scare

We had a big scare tonight.  Noah, who is all of 13 1/2 months old, just did an acrobatic flip out of his baby bed!  I put him in it and while my husband was on the computer in the room, and I walked into the hall and to the bath down the hall to get a wash cloth to clean him up and put his pj's on him.  When I walked back into the room he saw me and ran across his bed and grabbed the end rails and I guess he has so much momentum going he jumped and flipped out of the bed onto the floor on his back.  He actually did a flip over the rail.  Thank God he landed on his back and not his neck or head!!!  It scared us so bad!! We got him calmed down and checked him out all over, checked him for concussion, bumps and other out of the normal things.  We put him down to walk and play and talked to him and he seemed okay.  We kept him awake for over an hour after it happened.  But you can bet, I will be up through the night to check on him.  Andrew lowered his bed one more notch, which is all that is left to lower it.  So the next thing will be to make it into a toddler bed, and that means putting a gate at the door so if he gets up during the night he can't get out of the room.  I hope that this stage of the bed lasts a little while, I just feel he is too young for  toddler bed.  I guess I don't want him to grow up so fast.  Thank God he is okay.  I am thankful that we didn't have to make a trip to the emergency room tonight.

The girls are doing fine at Mom's house.  Of course, I miss them so bad.  Andrew took off from work today to stay home with me so I could adjust the girls not being here.  So the day was spent just doing odds and ends around the house.  He built a nesting box for the rabbit and did somethings around the pig pens and cleaned up in his shop.  I on the other hand went to Wal-Mart a bought some things we needed along with some yarn to make Noah a cap for winter.  The one I made for him a couple of months ago, doesn't have a tie to keep it on, and he constantly pulls it off.  So I need to make on that will tie.

Well, I am getting tired and need to get some rest while I can.  I will be waking up a lot during he night to check on Noah.

Brings back memories! Kids have a way of terrifying mom and dad, but they are pretty tough.
