Rainy day on the farm

Today is a rainy and cold day on the farm. Nothing much can be done in this weather. The animals are taken care of and are trying to stay in out of the rain. We had plans to put fencing up on the pasture area, but no chance of doing that this weekend. It will have to wait another week. Hubby is working inside today. Cutting in a door to a closet for our bedroom. My daughter's room had two closets, one on a common wall between our bedroom and hers. Our room only had a small closet, so we are cutting into the one in her room and making it ours. So he is working on that now, while I sit here on the computer and blog and catch up with friends. The kids are each doing their own things. Lauren is on her computer, Megan is playing and Noah is asleep in his swing. It is a lazy kind of day when all I want to do is curl up with a good book and relax.

I got up early this morning and went to a goat conference at a nearby Extension Agency. It was interesting, but it was more about meat goating, and I am more interested in dairy goats and fiber goats. But I did learn some things. It was also more geared for larger scale goat ranching, and of course, we are very small scale. But I got some information that was helpful.
