Friday!

I really love Friday's, especially when my husband is off on the weekend.  Don't get me wrong, I really like Saturday's but Friday's offer the anticipation time that I like.  I get as much done as I can on Friday's so that the weekend is fairly free of housework and laundry and I can just enjoy the weekend or help my husband do other chores around the place that don't get done during the week due to his long work hours.  Monday through Thursday is pretty much the same, school work, housework, laundry, meals...but Friday's are different and I need different sometimes. 

Yesterday I drove to the Arkansas-Louisiana state line and met my parents.  Lauren is going to stay with them until next weekend.  She went down to see a friend of hers whose father just became pastor of a church near where my parents live.  The are having a pastor induction service and her friend wanted her to come down to be at the service with him.  A friend of hers who lives here now going to college, is from Louisiana is going home for a visit next week and she is going to catch a ride back with her next Saturday.  So it worked out well for her to go down.  Of course she will get to visit with old friends, and family she hasn't see in a while.  She will get to spend some time with my grandmother who is almost 94.  So she was looking forward to her trip.  We got to visit a couple of hours with my parents and they got to see Megan and Noah a little while.  So it was nice.  They are planning a trip up later in the month after my mom sees her doctor and schedules a surgery that she needs. 

I am tired, I didn't sleep well and I guess the drive yesterday left me tired.  The rooster is crowing and the sun is breaking on the horizon.  I am lying in bed listening to the news on NPR , Megan and Noah are asleep.  I have lots that I need to do today, to make up for things I didn't get done yesterday.  So I suppose I need to get off of here and get to work.
