After a long absence, I made it back. We are slow at getting started on our farm. But today we got our first goats. We got two nannies. One is younger and not as far along in her pregnancy as the other one. We named them Daisy and Maisy. They are adjusting to their new home, and our Golden. We are still working on the field area, trying to get fencing put up, so for now they are enclosed in an area in the back yard. I am excited about this new adventure. I am reading everything I can get my hands on about goats. I can't wait until I can start milking them. I am enjoying so much reading all the great blogs on this site. I have learned so much already. I may have lots of questions for the rest of you as I begin this journey of homesteading. I will add photo's later.
