Friday, again...

Well, it is a Friday once again.  Where does the time go?  I can't believe another week has come and gone.  I have been busy and just haven't taken the time to keep up with this blog.  For that, I am sorry.  My mother-in-law was here this week for Megan's birthday.  She just left this morning, so we have been busy with company.  Also yesterday, I had to rush my baby to the dr's office.  He was crawling around on the living room floor and I suddenly noticed a spider coming out from under his sleeve onto his arm.  I freeked out!  I knocked it onto the floor and killed it and stripped him down and started looking for a bite mark.  I found a place on his back and I panicked.  We started looking up on the computer for the type of spider, it looked like a brown recluse.  I was panicked!  I called the dr and they told me to bring him on.  He wasn't crying or anything, but there was an obvious mark.  On the way to the dr's office my daughters and I were calling everyone we could think of to pray.  By the time we got the the dr, the "bite mark" was fading and no reactions.  We saw the dr, she looked at the spider and said she didn't think it was a brown recluse but to keep the spider just in case.  She gave us an ointment to put on it and told us what to look for.  We came home still freeked out over it.  I didn't put him down the rest of the day.  I even let him sleep with us last night.  I have to admit I am a little freeked about the spider.  I have seen a few spiders in the house in the last few weeks, and I hate spiders, even if they aren't harmful.  I am not one to take a chance.  Anyway, I give God all the praise for touching him, and keeping him from harm.  He is doing fine today with no sign of a bite on him.  Thank God!  But I am more cautious today.  I pulled the covers and pillows off the couch and pulled it away from the wall and shook everything out and cleared the floor, moving everything around to make sure there aren't any more eight-legged creatures hiding around anywhere. 

Well, the garden is coming along pretty good.  I haven't be able to spend as much time in it as I need to, due to a little one.  I need to find another play pen at a yard sale or consignment shop that can be used outside.  The one I have now is nice and I don't want to take it outside.  So if I had a used one I could take it out into the garden and put him in it in a shade and let him play while I work.  But he gets fussy and hard for the girls to handle if I leave him in with them too long.  Besides, Lauren got a part time job and is working four days a week for four hours at a time.  She isn't thrilled about it, but it is money, and a fairly easy job at that.  Her father and I told her that if she wanted to do all the things she was wanting to do, she would have to work and make money to pay for the gas and such.  So that is why she is doing it. 

Well, I need to get up and do some things in the house before the day gets by.  Tomorrow is Sat and we will probably spend the day outside doing yard and garden work.  So I need to do some laundry and a few inside chores today to get ready for the weekend.  I also need to go out and treat the pool so the kiddo's can swim in it tomorrow.
