Memorial Day

I hate it when people don't keep up with their blogs, myself included.  But lately things have been so busy that I hardly have time to sit down, much less, sit down and think at the same time.  And in order to write a blog, I actually have to be able to think.  Well at the moment Noah is in his bed playing around and I have a moment before he starts to fret.  It is after 9:00 pm and he is getting tired and ready to go to sleep, but not quite yet. 

Today was Memorial Day and Andrew was off, we got a good bit of yard work and gardening done before the rain came.  We had a small thunderstorm pass through and somehow it messed up our phones and they won't work now.  The internet is working so we must be getting service to the house.  I suspect that it caused the phones to mess up and we will have to buy new ones.  Tomorrow I will have to call from my cell phone to the phone company and have them come out to check the lines.  That could take several days, so we may be out of a land line until the end of the week. 

We visited a Confederate cemetary today that is a few miles from our house.  It was a sad situation.  According to the sign that was there, there was a group of confederate soldiers camped near there and some sort of sickness hit them and 1500 of them died there.  They were buried somewhere around there and forgotten.  In the early 1900's they found the graves and fixed the cemetary for them.  Then again it was neglected, until 1984 when a group of local school teachers and students decided to fix it up again.  It was rededicated again at that time.  All of the headstones say "Unknown".  It was very sad.  I have put some photo's on my flickr badge to view. 

Well, I am getting tired and it is time to put Noah down for the night, so I will end this here.
