Well, today was a good day. I didn't accomplish as much as I had hoped, but I did get somethings done.
1. I mowed the front yard; but still have the side yard and part of the back yard to do.
2. Put chemicals into pool and cleaned it out, also put the cover over it to keep out the rain and debris over the weekend. The weather is suppose to be too bad to swim anyway.
3. Put straw and goat droppings around the plants in the garden. I still have more to plant but the ground has been too wet to plant and more rain to come.
4. Got some inside cleaning done; still plenty to do, but got a good start.
Oh, by the way, we got our first egg today!!! We were soooo excited! It is a small egg, from our small banty hen, but we were thrilled to get it. Hopefully the others will start laying soon.
Right now I am laying on the bed as I type this and I have a north window and a south window open, and the two ceiling fans on and the breeze blowing through is so nice! I can tell the rain is about to begin and there is a cool wind blowing. I can hear the leaves on the trees in the back yard rustling in the breeze. I have jazz playing softly on the radio. Noah is in his bed asleep and my sweetheart is lying beside me asleep. The girls are in their rooms reading and talking on the phone. Everyone is contented at the moment. If it is going to rain tomorrow, and I won't be able to get outside things done, maybe I can finish moving everything into my new closet that my honey made for me. Our bedroom had a small closet in it and Megan's room, which is next to ours, had two nice size closets in it, so we took the one that shared a wall with our bedroom. Andrew closed up her side of the closet and opened it up on our side. He installed closet organizers and shelves and put a door on. The only thing left is the door handle. So I started putting things in it yesterday but haven't finished. Finally I can get things out of my room into a closet. I had boxes of my shoes stacked up next the wall and some of Noah's things just scattered all over the room. I had most of my clothes downstairs in the guest bedroom closet and it was frustrating having to go back and forth looking for something to wear. However, a lot of my things, I can no longer wear due to weight gain! I need to lose weight so bad. The scale hasn't moved much, only about three pounds or so, but I can tell that I am toning up more, because I was able to get into a size ten skirt this morning. I actually zipped it and everything, however, it was tighter than I like to wear my things, so I still have a ways to go. Most of my clothes are size six and eight anyway. I have a few ten's, some twelves and a couple fourteens. So hopefully, I can move back into my eights and I would love to fit into a six again. I think that I am going to set a goal to lose the weight by November. That is when I turn 40!! That would be the best gift I could give myself is to lose the weight and get back into shape. I am trying, all the hard work in the garden and in the yard has helped me to get physical again. I just need to start using all of the exercise equipment that we have. If I just used each thing a few minutes a day, three or four days a week, that would make a big difference. I will try to set a goal to do that maybe starting next week. I am trying to get Megan's school done for the year so I can be free to do other things during the day. It seems now that I hardly have time for anything I want to do. I guess I need to start getting up early, while the kids are still sleeping and do the exercise. That is what I use to do, and that is how I fit into a size six! But I always seem so tired in the mornings after Andrew leaves for work. Some mornings I stay up, others I go back and lie down a little bit longer. Then Noah usually wakes up and then he keeps me hopping for the rest of the day. Tonight it was nearly ten before he finally went down for the count. I guess I will have to cut out his late afternoon nap from now on so he will go to sleep earlier at night. I want to read, I want to work on a writing project that I started, but by the time I have wrestled him for an hour or so and finally got him down, I am so tired that I just want to sleep. Which is what I am about to do now. So I will end this blog. Hopefully some of it made sense. I can hardly keep my eyes open to type it.
