Springtime and roses

Well, Spring has sprung and thing are growing around here.  Especially the grass.  Can't seem to keep it cut down.  It rained for two days now and there are puddles and the grass is wet so no mowing for a few days.  But I am not complaining, we needed the rain.  The garden spot was so dry a couple days ago.  But today I couldn't plant anything more because it was too wet.  Well, maybe I can do more tomorrow.  We added two new chickens.  Well a chicken and a rooster.  They are banty, I believe that is how it is spelled.  Anyway, my mom brought them all the way from Louisiana with her.  My parents are here visiting for a couple weeks. 

Today I tried to get some things in the house done since it rained and I couldn't do anything much outside.  There is much to do tomorrow. 

1.  We still need a coup for the chickens

2.  The pool needs to be cleaned out because after the rain, it is full of leaves and debris. 

3.  I need to plant more in the garden

4.  the garage needs cleaning out

5.  the closet in the master bedroom needs to be finished

6.  I need to finish going through Noah's clothes and boxing up what I am sending to Jenelle and putting away the rest

7.  The front of the house needs a good scrubbing down to get rid of spiders that have taken up residence

8.  the back yard needs to be gone through and all the sticks and debris that Scout has drug out needs to be thrown away

9.  the vehicles need to be cleaned out and vacced

10. laundry needs to be finished and put away

11. office computer and desk needs to be brought upstairs to free up space in the guest bedroom

12. I need to get to the storage shed and start going through and getting rid of stuff

13.  I am sure that there is so much more, like spring cleaning and organizing and more and more...

All work and no play makes Jane a dull girl.  I don't know about Jane, but I haven't played in a long, long, long time... I don't know if I would know how to play any more.  I am not even sure what I would do, just for fun.

Well, it is a little after 11:00 pm and Andrew is asleep on my left and Noah is asleep in his crib to my right.  The girls are still up with Mawmaw and Pawpaw downstairs.  I am sure that they will stay up quite late and want to sleep half the day tomorrow.  Oh did I forget?  We are eating supper at a friend's house tomorrow evening at 5:00 and then meeting with Pastor at the church for a meeting about Sunday's baby dedication service.  Then Sunday we are having Noah dedicated, which is a formality because he was dedicated in October by our previous pastor at our old church in Louisiana.  We took him down there for him to do it because he was the pastor that dedicated both Lauren and Megan.  But we are going to go through the ceremony again because it is done only once a year here at our new church and we want him to be a part of the special day with this church body.  So this will be a busy weekend and we probably won't get half of the things on the list done.  But there will always be something. 

Thank God, that just means that we are still alive and kicking and able to do.
