Wednesday's Plans

Good Morning!
I have the feeling that my blog has been less than exciting to my few but faithful readers.  I apologize for that.  I want to give those of you who pass by or for those of you who come here intentionally something worthy of reading, but then again... it is just me, a 32 year old gal whose duties are too numerous to name... so sometimes my life just isn't thrilling... and I don't apologize for that, because I truly love my simple life!   I am thankful to all my readers and I hope that you enjoy your moments here and I pray that I can encourage or uplift or inspire you in some way and if nothing else maybe what is here will bring a smile.
Life is good around here.  We are adding a small deck on the back of the house today, I have my pile o'rocks waiting on me outside to start building my earth oven, the garden is coming along nicely, the concrete floor will be poured for the root cellar today HOORAY!
For those of you with questions on the root cellar, it may be a long process, but I will do my best to keep up with how much one would cost to build.  The book that I am referring to says $1500, but it might be dated... so I will let you know...
We have our AWANA closing ceremonies tonight followed by a fellowship supper! Woohoo! Those are always fun.  I look forward to this evening.
I am trying to fight off a cold that is trying to creep up on me.  Garlic and OJ are my friends right now, trying to ward it off... I don't have time to be sick!!
We have a wedding shower on Saturday and I am working on getting the gifts finished.
I must run and stitch a little this morning before the children wake.  I hope you all have a GREAT day!
My Cup Runneth Over...Chas

Well, you KNOW that I enjoy visiting you! :-)

I am all about the "simple" things in life as well and I sometimes wonder if my readers get tired of hearing about them, lol. Hope you start to feel better soon!

ah but isn't it a good thing that life is less than exciting sometimes? if everything was going at a full tilt boogie all the time, first we wouldn't appreciate the highs and second, i'm sure we would crash and burn pretty quickly!
give me my day to day routine any time! it's comforting and soothing and i know what to expect (and i suspect you feel the same way too)
keep us posted on that root cellar! no such beast here in central florida with the water table as high as it is. c'est la vie!
this break from tomato canning was brought to you by me!

love,

Don't worry about your posting, Chas. We all have lives away from the computer. Every post you share is a blessing!

I love reading everyone's boring blogs. LOL Because they are not boring to me. I love getting a glimpse of what others are doing on their homesteads.

Chas,

Your blog is never boring! I am not one to comment much, but yours is one that I always look for! I personally enjoy reading about other like minded families. We can learn so much from one another! It can be as simple as a tip for the kitchen, children, garden, etc..
What are you crocheting? I am referring to the picture. It looks pretty!
I think that is terrific that you are putting in a root cellar. I read a terrific book, Root Cellaring. It offered some ideas that we could mimic in our garage. We do not have room on our small parcel of land for one, so my DH shares his garage.
Please keep up with your daily blog, I would miss all the daily news!
Have a wonderful day!
