Heritage Acres Farm

Woo hoo, It's Friday!

Good Morning!! Oh I love it, the windows are open this morning, it is a bit chilly right now but once I get up and busy it will be wonderful!  This weather is incredible.
(Here are some of my Livingston Daisies they will grow and spread.  And there are yellow ones and orange and purple and white... I just adore them!)
Yesterday was a great day, we got a lot accomplished.  The porch is painted, the old lattice has been torn down and replaced with new! Today we are going to paint the furniture white.  I think it is going to look SO much better.  I will take some pictures as soon as it is all done.  We went to Lowe's last night to get the lattice and I got two more plants while I was there.  I bought another Forsythia (Yellow Belle, as we call them) and a Dwarf Burning Bush The children and I set them out last night while Shannon was nailing up the lattice. Our yard and home is finally taking some shape!  We have had such a blank canvas for so long.  Shannon's Papaw also came over with some extra strawberries plants he had to help fill in our bare spots.  So my poor, wonderful husband came home from work to MORE work (more than usual) and we didn't get inside until it was so dark we couldn't see anymore. Well, the sun is rising and I am going to go and water my plants.  I hope you have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend as well!

Friday

Good day to you too, Chas.
It started raining here around 6 and brought a cool front.
That means our windows will be open today, too!

Everything sounds lovely and that kind of work is so exciting to me. I can't wait to see the pictures! Have you been to my blog lately and seen the pics of the flowering things I've had around the place? I know what you mean about the blank canvas. That's what we had when we started out too. It's amazing to look out at all the flowering shrubs now and remember that we planted them as inexpensive 1or 2 gallon plants!

The daisies are beautiful! I hope to finally get our yard work this weekend. Stephen is mowing today, and he went to get a tiller from his parents today (he has to fix it).

Have a wonderful weekend!
