Good Morning Friends, I wish you a blessed Good Friday. I praise the Lord Jesus for what this day is and what this weekend means...I praise Him for because our life would be meaningless without this blessed season.
Praise the Lord, HE IS RISEN! Last night we made Resurrection Rolls. Very neat, very fun, very yummy.
Here is the recipe.
Resurrection Rolls
Ingredients:
• 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
• 8 large marshmallows
• Melted butter
• Cinnamon
• Sugar
Directions:
1. Give each child one triangle shaped section of crescent roll. This represents the tomb.
2. Each child takes one marshmallow which represents the body of Christ.
3. Dip the marshmallow in the butter and roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture. This represents the oils and
spices the body was anointed with upon burial.
4. Lay the marshmallow on the dough and carefully wrap it around the marshmallow.
5. Make sure all seams are pinched together well. (Otherwise the marshmallow will "ooze" out of the seams)
6. Bake according to package directions.
7. Cool.
8. Break open the tomb and the body of Christ is no longer there!!
9. Celebrate God's love!
Here we are making ours... And here are the children enjoying the yummy outcome! I am looking very forward to the day. I have a lot (of course) I want to accomplish... one being my skirt! ACK! Yes, I have yet to make my Easter Skirt! I have been so busy making things for my shop I have put off my skirt, and another project that I have in the works. ssshhhh.. it's a secret!
I will try and get some pictures of the skirt fabric and what I decide to do with it... I am still unsure of what kind of skirt I want. I want it to be a little more special than a simple straight skirt. So, I will be pondering and thinking and sewing on that TODAY!
Well, have a blessed day, and a beautiful Easter if I get busy and don't get back here again...
OH!!!
I almost forgot!!!!!!!!
I want to host a giveaway!
Silly me!!!
I would like to give you the opportunity to win...

Discover what it means to be a passionate housewife “desperate” for God alone! Here's what you do...

It looks like you had a lot of fun making your resurrection rolls and your kids look quite intent on eating them! If I can remember I'd love to see what fabric you're using for your skirt. I have a shirt cut out to sew for myself but I'm so intimidated! It's been cut for over a week now!

New!
Hello, I'm new!
I'd love to read this book. My husband and I are in our early twenties, and we're making our way to VA so that he can start Seminary school this fall!
It would be wonderful to read this book among others as preperation for what is to come.
I love the idea for the Ressurrection rolls as well. When I start my own Christian based home daycare, these may have to be made! ;)
Sincerely~
Chelsea
