Weekend wipeout!

Posted in Time with God
This weekend was unbelievable... it was SO busy, and yet so fun and I am really glad it is over, and we can get back to life as usual!
Friday night we had a Youth Rally at our church.  It was a lot of fun and there was 2 people who got saved! PRAISE THE LORD!
Yes, those are Little Debbies in my children's hands... we were on sugar overload come Sunday, and I got back on my game yesterday starting everyone out with Kefir smoothies.
Saturday morning we had Angel Food Ministry and it was so rainy and stormy,  we love helping at this ministry... what I love is that we all can do a part, and then the kids can play in the gym right there with us after they help.
Saturday night was the Youth Rally #2.  It was at the local middle school.  Shannon and I recalled the last time we had been in that gym would be 14 years ago this June when we were at graduation practice, at that time it was our high school gymnasium!!! Ummm.... can you say ANCIENT?
Saturday night's youth rally was great as well, one more person got saved and we praise God for that one also.  Something beautiful happened while we were there too.  There was a point where a youth asked prayer for a person that was having some seizures... they stopped the rally and prayed.  Eli said.... "Dad!  I need to go and tell that man that my Popa Ronnie is not saved and we need to pray for him too!!!" Shannon started not to let him interrupt the man who was speaking, but decided to anyways.  He had come off the stage already.  So Eli went and told Mr. Carver (the man who was announcing things)  and he let Eli write "Popa Ronnie" on the cross.
There was a cross set up to write names of those who were not saved, and then you could kneel and pray for them.  I watched my 5 year old son write my Dad's name on the cross and kneel down and pray for him.  My heart was overflowing by this time and my eyes were swollen and puffy.  It was incredible.

This weekend was really fun, really busy and really tiring, and I am glad it is Monday. Have a great day my friends, and I look forward to getting started on my normal routine any minute now.

We were wondering what was going on at the church Friday night. Then we saw the signs and figured it out. I'm glad you all had a great time.

Shannon looks so thrilled to be having his picture made. LOL
