Spring has Sprung

Good Morning! I tell you, sometimes it is tough to get out of bed, but once I do, I LOVE getting up early! I get so much accomplished in those couple of hours to myself in the morning!
We have went from the snow I showed you yesterday to GORGEOUS weather, weather so nice I opened a few windows yesterday, just to let the beautiful air in!  It was wonderful.  I allowed the children to have an extended PE time yesterday and they played and played and played outside!  It was if they have been aching for spring just as much as we have!
Shannon has been working outside when time allows on the edge of the yard.  Close to the border of our land and our neighbors there is a row of trees.  For years we have had about 8 feet or more of just brush where those tree limbs and leaves have been.  It was our chickens favorite spot to scratch ... well, Shannon has been raking it all up! It looks so nice, and I might have me some blackberry bushes after all, if I can keep him from running them over with the mower or weed whacking them down with the weed eater!
We are hoping that the sun keeps shining and the rain stays away at least a few more days, if so we can finish tilling up our cabbage patch and getting the cabbage and lettuce in the ground.  The snow and rain have held us off on this.
The children and I have been excited for the grass seed to start sprouting and hopefully it will.  They worked so hard with me on that project, and I hope it will pay off.
To those of you that have asked about us moving or whatnot... No, we have not moved and are not moving, the land I posted about is right behind us.  Part of the land is ours and part of the land is my Dad's.  We have hopes of purchasing the rest from him and if that happens, we will have 24.5 acres total.
I hope you enjoy your day, take a little time and do something you love today, even if it is only 15 minutes.  Take a few minutes and sit with your children and read to them, snuggle with your husband after he gets home from work and listen about his day.  Have a  yummy supper prepared.  Light a candle or two and make the house smell special.
Thank God for ALL His blessings!!!   Today is a special day, it doesn't have to be a holiday!  Being alive and loving each minute makes it special, don't waste it!!!

your land...

Hi my friend!
I am so happy to hear you guys are going to expand your boundaries!!! I noticed a "for sale" sign at your lane coming home from the store the other day and was hoping you guys werent moving! It was just a passing thought...I agree about the weather today. I sat w/Nana Bodenhamer all day, but I really enjoyed the few minutes outside between houses and filling up my birdfeeders...I was tempted to work in my flowerbeds, but I was scared I'd be jumping the gun a bit. Our daffodils are so pretty. I was glad the blooms were not killed by the snow.
I enjoy your blog...it's such a blessing!

Thank You!

Hi Chas!

I wanted to let you know I received the movies...THANK YOU! They actually were received several days ago when my husband checked the mail, but I didn't know because the mail sat in his office for a few days before I encountered it! My daughter, niece and I plan a movie day soon to watch them. Thanks again!
