Schoolroom Pictures

Good Morning! Guess what I woke up to this morning?  I was in my laundry room and I saw a funny light from outside.  I flipped on the back door light and found that we have about an inch of snow on the ground! For us that is INCREDIBLE! I am just tickled to pieces!  The children are not awake just yet, and when they do I am sure that they will be happy as well.
I will be sure to take some pictures for all of you... especially for those who get a foot of snow and such, you will get a good giggle out of our little accumulation here! BUT, the weather says that it should snow more today so we might end up with even more than an inch we may end up with 2!!! being that we are on the mountain!
I told you yesterday that I moved the schoolroom around again, but I think I am totally happy with the changes and this will work well for us.
I wanted another bookcase in here with us, especially with some children's books on there for the little ones to look through for when we should be quiet.
Here is looking toward the west wall.
That is my desk closest to me, then Eli's desk the bookshelf, and Cameo's desk.

This is a picture of the little ones table against the wall that connects the kitchen.

A closer up picture of Cameo and Eli's desk and bookshelf

This is from the North end of the Schoolroom looking toward the dining room.

A closer view of the little one's table and reading area (The Spiderman Couch).

Yesterday, we went to Sam's and The Schoolbox and Walmart, so we didn't do school yesterday morning, but came home and had school up until 8:00 last night.  Isn't homeschool GREAT???
(((Hugs))) to you my friends, have a BEAUTIFUL snowy day!!!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Your room is so cheery. I just love it! Enjoy the snow. I have seen enough snow and ice here in Kansas to last awhile : )

Enjoy your snow and PLEASE don't send any our way. :o) Personally I'm tired of it but if I lived somewhere where it didn't happen often, it would be a treat.

The schoolroom is beautiful. You have done a great job making it look homey and cheerful for the children. I love the yello on the walls!

Ok girl....

everything looks great, but you are going to have to paint that one brown chair! My little OCD mind can't take it! And it must be purple.

:o( We are still too sick to play in the snow.

Wow! I love it! I'm only in the "idea phase" right now, as my daughter is still too young for "real" school. (We do some fun pre-schooling stuff, but mostly on the couch!) I just love seeing where, and how, others do school at home!

And, enjoy the snow! I would be excited too! I was born and raised here in sunny So-Cal, so I like the idea of snow, but I've never had to deal with it through the winter!

Have a blessed day!

Re: The changes

Looks terrific, Chas! I know how exciting it is to change something around and think "WOW!"....it makes such a difference. Your mom is one smart cookie. :D

YAY!

I love the openess and cleaness of your school room! My FIL used to be a teacher at the Private Christian School (only one besides the Catholic) here in town and he saved me some of the OLD school desks that they have. I hope to fix them up someday for Euphemia. I have such a school idea now seeing your room. I love it! Especially the map on the wall.

We never get snow here. The mountians around us can be covered witha white blanket but our valley will never see a drop. That's the desert for you. I do hope you will show pictures. Be sure to send some over here! That is if you can spare any.

Have a good day!

You are so lucky to have that extra little space to do that. My classroom is also my dinning room. I wish I had that extra corner for school. And by the way, it is really cute to boot.............Kitty

I LOVE your layout of the school room! You are such a great organizer!!! I always love your blog. You make me feel like I need to "get busy" every day! I am certainly trying. I gave a dvd to Shannon last week for you and the kids. If it is any good and you are able to make some things from it, send me pics!
