Good Morning! We have a glorious day ahead of us! The sun is beautifully shining. Sadly I don't hear my beloved chickens outside. A stray dog came up and killed both of them Sunday afternoon. I was very upset about the situation. They had been with us a good long time. This makes me even more ready to get out coop built and buy some more chickens. I Love having chickens. I love watching the kids gather eggs.
Ok, enough sadness.
The Giveaway I am sorry that there has been confusion about the giveaway I am holding. Let me try and clarify. I have been tickled about the number of entries I have gotten thus far, so I was thinking if I received 200 entries into the giveaway, I would add to the prize! OR... I have a counter on the side bar of my blog, right now it is just shy of 10,200 visitors... I said if I were to get a total of 11,000 visitors before the cut off time of the contest then I would add to the prize as well. So if either one of these goals are met, then I will add the THIRD video in the Love Comes Softly Series. So... are we clear? I hope so. Remember you have until midnight Thursday night the 21! I will draw on Friday morning the 22nd and post the winner!!!
Have a great day my friends!
Chas,
It's a great giveaway and the only reason I haven't entered is, I have them all. I hope, however that my visiting is adding to your counter.LOL
As for the chickens, I am so sad about them. We too, love our chickens.
Blessings,
Trixi

:o(
I'm sorry about your chickens. We would love to have chickens to help with ticks in the summer, but we are afraid that dogs would kill them. I hope you get your coop built soon.

I'm so sorry about your chickens!! We had some puppies that killed a few of our chickens. As soon as we figured out that it was the puppies, we found homes for them all, except the two that the rooster got a hold of, they leave the chickens alone. I would like to enter the contest, but I'm fairly new to blogging and am not sure how. Blessings to you, Elizabeth
Woo hoo! Sounds like your comments are getting there!
So sorry about your chickens. I really wanna get a dog to keep away the stray cats that ALWAYS come over and mess up our yard. But I want chickens too. Do you have a pet dog thatknows not to eat chickens? Or is dogs and chickens a no-no?
Poor Chas. Hugs to ya.

Oh, I'm so sad about your chickens. I dearly love mine, so I can understand how you were upset. We're getting ready to build a chicken tractor. You might look into a design like that depending on how much land you have. Getting new ones will be fun for you. :-)
I'm so sorry you lost your birds. It's a little easier when I lose one since I have so blasted many but it still makes me sad when we do. It's been a while since they're securely locked up at night now but it does happen from time to time.
I can't wait until you get your coop set up! We need to order our meat birds soon and figure out how we're going to raise them this year. I'm not looking forward to having them in the house again :|
So sorry to hear about your chickens Chas. We've lost a few in the past and it's so sad. We're supposed to be getting the first of ours this year on March 10. I'm so excited. Again, thanks for the give away you're doing.
Blessings,
Leigh-Ann
I'm so sorry to hear about your chickens. I used to raise chickens and had just been thinking about getting some yesterday! Now I see that I'd probably have the same problem as you. I once had about 40 and somehow the coop latch broke and they all got out. My dad's beagles got several of them. After that, I sold the rest b/c it was so upsetting. BTW, I signed up for a blog finally! This is Teresa, your quilting pal!!!
I love your blogs and I'll see ya soon!
So sorry to hear about the chickens. That was a cute pic of them in the trees. I long to have chickens in my backyard. Unfortunately we're renting for the time being. But I'm learning alot until then.
Sorry about your chickens.
Get some more cluck clucks soon.
