Simplify Saturday

Posted in Time with God
Good Morning Dear Ones! I am so happy to be here this morning... God has blessed me so much.  Yesterday's church service was incredible, we had a prayer walk around the building yesterday afternoon and choir practice was wonderful, and then another great service last night.... My Cup Indeed Runneth Over today!!!!
I just want to tell you how grateful I am that God has saved my soul, and I am so thankful that He has given me a family to care for and to serve.  I feel there is no greater gift than a godly husband and children.  I am bursting with thankfulness and I can't seem to say enough.
My husband Shannon and I have come up with an idea and we are excited about it.  I call it Simplify Saturday.  We as a family want to simplify our lives, to make our lives more productive, more meaningful, and a little more simply.  We have realized we are in excess of many things, and in our realization of that we have decided to simplify.
Saturday we took many, boxes and bags off to the drop off box that we have in our hometown.  We call it the goodwill box, but it really isn't that, it is some kind of pick up service that will distribute it to those in need... and with all those who experienced tragedy from the recent tornado's that passed through, hopefully some of the clothes and home items will go to them.
So here is the game plan... during the week, start you a bag, a box whatever you have.  If there are extras, or un-necessaries toss them into that box and on Saturday, take it to your designated pick up area.  We were happy to get rid of some of the surplus and hopefully we will bless someone in need.

My Cup Runneth Over...Chas

I think this sounds like a wonderful idea. We are always so blessed with so much, much more than we need, I think we will do something similar as well. Thanks so much for your inspiring blog, its always a pleasure to stop by here:0)
