Our Gumdrop Wreath

Last night our family set out to make a Gumdrop wreath.  I had seen it somewhere before and had put it back in the archives of my mind to make one... one day   So yesterday the children and I went to Walmart, and we got our gumdrops and all our ingredients to make our goodies later on this week.

I hung it in several different places trying to find the very best place for it, because I think it is just beautiful!
It started with ALL of the clan helping, but it ended up that the only two to keep going till the end was my Dearest and myself... imagine that...

It was a great joy to work together with the family, even if the littles ventured off and started playing with some model airplanes.

Today I have so much to do... I have to finish putting the teachers gifts together, I have the gifts completed, but I have to put some finishing touches on them.  I also have a few lingering crafts to finish up.
I am considering making a gingerbread house out of graham crackers. (Just because I am trying to save a little bit of time) I thought if I could fashion one out of grahams then I would make up a big batch of royal icing and we could put one together for today.
I will let you know how that comes out...
I must run... Have a beautiful day! 7 days!!

Nice wreath

I love this idea. I wonder if you could shelac (?) it to preserve it for future use. Of course, you could always eat it afterwards!. Ooohh, you could make gumdrop fruitcake with it too. Yum
