Heritage Acres Homestead

A day at home...

Usually on Sunday's we are up and headed to church first thing...  But like I said, Abram has the croup and the others have a cough so we decided it would be best not to spread it around...
So the day thus far has been quiet and enjoyable.
I have been doing a little reading out of Nourishing Traditions and decided I needed to get to trying more of the recipes.  I had some yogurt that was ready to make into cream cheese, so I have that separating from the whey right now.

I asked Shannon which breakfast he would like in the morning between NT Porridge or NT Cream Cheese Breakfast Pastries... both require planning and he chose the Porridge.  So I had to get out our oats and crack them...

We were given some little greenhouse kits from a lady at church and we hadn't planted them yet so the kids and I planted them this morning too...

And Shannon and Eli put together one of his art projects and made his very own tool box... Eli LOVES making things, he now has made a book holder and a tool box... both from a little kit.  They even came with their own little man tools!

The rest of the day is hopefully going to be spent napping and reading and spending sweet time together.
I hope this day finds you well, and if your like us and some of you are not 100%, try and find the beauty in the Lord's day and spend it with some of the most beautiful people you can.. your family.
Rest well my friends!

My Cup Runneth Over...
Chas
