Quilled Snowflake

Yesterday I came across a project that I just had to try out.
It was inexpensive.
It was a rather fast project.
It had GREAT results.
Love ALL those factors.
Quilling.
Have you tried it?
Oh my, I really enjoyed it, although I need a different type of glue than what I used.
I love to learn how to do something new and this was really fun.
I got my inspiration from here. I do recommend that if you try this and want to add glitter, get the ultra fine glitter, this is such a delicate project the regular glittery flakes are just too big... my dilemma in this case. But otherwise, I am quite happy with my first quilling attempt.
Learning something new, (and enjoying it) now that is a happy thing. :)

Thank you for the inspiration. I think this would be a great project for my daughter and I. She could make ornaments as gifts. We're going to try.

P.S. It turned out beautiful.

That is beautiful, Chas. And I'm glad to know it isn't as difficult as it looks :) ! We saw some quilled projects in a craft book recently; but they looked rather daunting, now I think we may have to give it a try!
Thanks for sharing!
Blessings,
Catherine

That is beautiful! I've heard of quilling before but have never tried it. It looks so delicate and pretty. We've been making the snowflakes you posted last year - the kids love it!
