I have had the sewing bug lately, and if any of you have caught it, you know what I mean.
One afternoon I asked if my guys would like a 'camouflage' toboggan. Abram said "YES!" the other guys said, "Sure". :) So I said, Abe, I will make yours first.
I made one, too big. It went to Dad.
I made another, still too big, it fit Eli.
I started another, it would have fit a wee babe.
Abe was getting bothered... "Where is my hat MOM???"
Eureka! Success!
Moma finally made one just right! :) It is so sweet to see them all in something that I made for them.
It is much harder to make things for my guys.
They are so wonderful, they help make my life beautiful.
Have a wonderful day...

Those look great, Chas - I know what you mean about finding it hard to make something for the guys .... it's not that they are picky, they just don't have the same appreciation of "pink and frilly" that our daughters do, lol. =)
I love the different terminology for things in different areas of the world - here in Canada, a toboggan is something the kids ride down the hills in the snow (a sled) and a toque is a winter hat that we wear. ˚Ü˚

Very nice - I agree its hard to find things to make for the guys. Have been thinking of something to make for the guys on my Christmas list for this year.

Hi Chas, What a great idea! Your guys look great in your heartmade hats. Love the camo yarn. I made my son washclothes in the same yarn. He said my other ones were too girly. He is 14.
Great smiles!
I'm sure they feel as blessed as you do. Have a great day. God Bless you. Cynthia

sewing bug
Chas~ So you are who I got it from (haha) I have been wanting to do some sewing and embroidery too, since I have no small children anymore (all grown up now) I have more time to sit and embroider, where do you find the time??? I like to sew or work on things like cutting fabric during the day and then try to find some hand work (embroidery or crocheting) for the evening so I can also watch some tv at the same time.
Have a great rest of the week
Blessings,Joann

crocheting
Hats off to you Chas.
I have been trying and trying to make a crocheted cupcake. (I'm as successful with that as I have been with popovers! )
I'm glad YOU can make hats, and that they can fit, and you can do three in a row.
fun stuff.
