The Craft Festival

Reusable Shopping Bags, Quilt Squares, Baby Bibs, Ribbon Tails
Hi there friends.  I sure hope you have all had a nice weekend.  This weekend was like a whirlwind for us.  Thankfully it is over and we can get back to life as usual! :)

Of course you know that the craft festival was Saturday.  I worked and worked to get everything finished up.  I had several nights of little rest.  The show itself was great.  I was able to talk to a lot of nice people, I visited with my Aunt, Uncle and Cousins who I don't get to spend a lot of time with... It was fun.  As for the sales... I made slightly more than breaking even.  And that is ok. :)  At least I didn't get in the red, right? :)
Plus, I was able to give out my card and hopefully I will get some business
through my etsy.  The sight from walking across the bridge... the front of our booth.
Homemade Honey Peach Jam... mmmm!
My You Pick Pumpkin Patch!
Pretty Autumn Set up going into our booth.
In other news, Shannon has a meeting with a former employer.  One thing is it is just a couple of minutes away from home... LESS GAS! :) It has fairly good benefits, health, vacation, sick time.  The bad... well, we are not going to look at the bad right now.  We are just going to wait and see what happens.
I appreciate all your prayers and support through all our trials.  It is so incredibly nice to know that they're are people whom you have never 'met' that are praying for you and your family.  You guys are a tremendous blessing to me!
Love to you all!

I am glad that your craft fair went well. Your booth area is so cute. I love craft festivals. We have one around here in a couple of weeks and I will do some Christmas shopping.
I am glad Shannon has an interview. We will continue to pray.
Blessings,
Trixi

Great to hear of the job possibility and so close to home!
Glad your booth went well, I was very anxious to hear. You did a lovely job with setting it up! I love the labels on the jams. We sell jams and really should do some cute labels like that. Our experience with craft shows has been about the same, not really making much and it is a lot of work! But as you said you are getting your name out there and you never know when someone will need a gift and will think of you.
Thanks for sharing with us.

I was praying for you! I'm so glad that things went well. You just never know with those kinds of shows. You certainly did a great job setting things up! Looks lovely! I'll continue praying about Shannon's job. The Lord is SO good, all the time... By the way, I feel like we are old friends, too. :-)

Have a wonderful week!

Glad you had a good weekend at the craft show. Just think that at your next one you won't have to make so much so you'll profit more.

Your tote bags

Hi Chas,

I just stopped by to see if you added anything new to your Etsy shop. I see that you made some beautiful things for the craft fair! I think I would like one of those bags, but I don't see them on your Etsy shop?
*Also, I remember your asking about some ideas of new things you could make to sell that would go over well. I have noticed at local fairs here in Rhode Island that people are looking for "handmade" greeting cards. I was thinking that the same "cut-out fabric shapes" you use on shirts and onesies might make cute Thanksgiving or Christmas cards if you glued them onto blank greeting cards?

Blessings,
April

Lovely pictures of all the goodies you had on display!!! I wish your sales had been better, but you never know when one of those ladies with a card could contact you and say, I need a whole pumpkin patch to give away at our local Sorority function!!!

I will be praying for Shannon as he goes to meet the former employer!!!

Are you going to put some of your leftover projects on your etsy shop now???

God's Blessings,
Amy Jo

craft booth

Your booth looks great. I know, from personal experience, that it's sometimes hard to make alot of money at the boothes. It can be a tad discouraging when you put your heart into making the items, but if they have another one soon, sign up because then other than your booth fee, you will make only profit!
Hope your husband gets well soon.
