Good Morning my friends... I pray that you have a beautiful week ahead of you. It is cool... well sort of... my windows are open and I am enjoying the weather.
Last Friday we had a birthday party... Poor Carlie Jean and Abram had been waiting for their party for a long while. We went into the hospital on Carlie's actual birth-day and then I was not feeling well on Abram's. So both were late, but we had a great time.
First thing we made decorations for our Under the Sea party.... inspired from our new aquarium! Everyone got creative, it was a lot of fun. We had fish, and clams, and mermaids, and jellies, and eels, and seaweed, and a bunch of other things. Here is a close up of Carlie's mermaid... too cute!!!!
On their cake, I just made a plain vanilla 2 layer cake and then frosted it with light blue icing. I took Air-Heads candy and used it like a Play-doh and made fish, crabs, bubbles, and seaweed... it turned out rather good. And finally... the moment Abram had been waiting for ALL day!!!!
Time for the Birt-day cake!!!!! We had a wonderful time...
Have a great day my friends, and may God bless you and yours...

I am so sorry you have been sick and not feeling well, but I pray you are feeling much better now.
Look at those decorations!! I love them. I especially love the mermaid! *giggles* Is that a coconut bra??? LOL And that cake is adorable!!! I hope they had fun!
OOOhhh I wish I had known before. My Gabriel had an under the sea party a year and a half ago, and I bought a twin size sheet and painted a sea scene all over it to hang on our wall and across a doorway. The kids took turns fishing for prizes with a can pole and string. It was sooo cute and it's just collecting dust in my closet! We made tons of paper decorations too. We used paper plates and shredded trash bags to make jelly fish and octopus, regular fish, sharks, and sea horses to hang from the ceiling and stick on the walls. I buried sea shells in sand in a kiddie pool and they dug them out. It was so much fun.
