Heritage Acres Farm

I like Monday's too...

Posted in Barnyard Life
Good Monday Morning!!!!
Mondays are pretty great for me too... I like a fresh start to things... and Monday always feels sorta like a fresh start.
We had a nice weekend.  We cleaned the church for my Mom on Saturday (she was at the beach) and I did some secretary work for my Sister while I was there as well (she was at the beach also) and so Shannon, Abram and I were at the church most of the morning Saturday.  The three oldest children went with Shannon's parents to Down Home Farm Days
I truly wish I could have went with them, they came back in a flurry of telling me all they did and what they saw... and they even came home with a little present for their Moma...
Isn't she sweet??
I named her Miss Butterbuns.... I believe her to be a Rhode Island Red... but I am not sure, the kids couldn't remember if they told them.  Cameo said, I just found the most friendly chicken I could... "Moma, this one was so nice and sweet... I knew she would be good for our house, she doesn't even peck!"
I am so pleased... it was such a precious gift!
While we were working in the yard Saturday, Cameo found a nice little surprise...
I know the picture is a bit blurry, but look how teeny that little frog is!!!!
While we were taking the picture this happened...
She is so pretty... even with a frog on her nose.
Well, we have a lot to accomplish today, we have some training to do... my kids have been a bit too wiggly on the church pew lately, so at some point today we are going to have some church practice!
So, I must go and get Monday started.  I hope you have a great week!!!

chas

could you please post your crockpot enchilada recipe for me? Our kitchen is totally ripped out, remodeling and I don't even have a kitchen sink. And I am trying to find crockpot recipes to try. Thank you for your help..
Blessings,
Lisa

Cameo & the Frog

So cute! I love, love, love this picture. That one needs to be framed and hanging in your house.

I was glad to read in your other post that you're garden is doing so well. I didn't plant one this year (never have, actually) but I hope to do one next year. I know watching it grow and reaping the rewards from it would be great. :)

Have a beautiful week, Chas!

Yes, even with a frog!

She is gorgeous! Yes even with a frog on her nose! Cameo, can I adopt you, dearest?
