Heritage Acres Farm

Friday, Friday, Friday

Good Morning!  The picture above was supper last night... Shannon's request.  Whole wheat pancakes and fresh fruit from the garden... mmm.
Good stuff.
I tell you, it has been HOT here in GA... above 90* every day here lately and it doesn't look to be changing for at least a week... yikes.  It is just the first of JUNE! I wasn't expecting this for at least a few more weeks.
Things are springing up all over the garden, squash, zucchini, cukes, peppers, corn, potatoes, tomatoes, it is all just looking wonderful!!
The strawberries are almost gone... we are still finding a few here and there.  The blackberries are coming in well and I hope to get enough picked to make a coffee cake and put some in the freezer... I would love to have enough for jam, but I don't know just how many will bear.
Don't forget to leave me a comment on yesterday's post for the Starbucks gift card!   I have to run, time to water the garden before it gets too hot!
Have a GREAT Friday and weekend!

Great minds...

We had pancakes for supper last night too (and bacon and scrambled eggs and grape juice)- birthday boy's choice.

Did you get those blackberries in your yard? Ours are nowhere near ready yet. I just don't think I am going to get the harvest of them I did last year unless I can find someone willing to let me pick his yard clean. I see SO MANY as I drive through the neighborhood and I just know that most of them are going to waste. I need to be brave and creative and get someone to let me pick theirs. Maybe for a part of the bounty? We'll see. I just used the last of last year's frozen berries a few weeks ago. The kids have asked for coffeecake a couple times since then so I need to stock up again.

I have my first pepper in the garden and I am putting cages on the maters. It's all terribly exciting, isn't it? I am just praying for a decent tomato harvest this year. I do still have a little more salsa left from last year to see us through, thank heaven!

Oh boy....

That just look delicious! I am so glad you have such a productive garden! Enjoy everything! The season is over for us down here. We may get some cantelope but that'll it be it besides the beets and tomatoes.

This looks wonderful. We are usually so busy during the week, that we don't have time for pancakes, but when we do on the weekends, or some weeknights it is delicious! The fresh fruit looks yummy too!

God's Blessings,

Yummy!

Those are some yummy looking "panacakes" ya got there. :)

Do you have a way to enable RSS feeds to your blog so I can be notified when you update? That'd be super great. :)

summer already?

It turned summer here REALLY quick also.........not like it usually does. One day it was Spring, then the next we were baking. And I don't mean brownies.
