Well last year we had made a trip this time of year to Holmes County, Ohio. The biggest Amish settlement. I had been hoping to go again this year, but the Lord saw otherwise. So we decided last weekend to make a trip to an amish community here in michigan. We have amish and mennonites around us here in the Grand Ledge area, but we have not Amish stores. Thats the part I miss the most. I love the bulk food store and the Hardware stores. So we went to Mio Michigan. It took us about 3 hours to get there.(yes we do love long day trips).
We went to the bulk food store. Called Country Corners Bulk Food, and Bent and Dent Groceries. There address is 1284 W Kittle Rd. Mio Mi 48647. I found most all the bulk foods I was looking for, so that was great. They have very resonable prices on alot of stuff thats why I love shopping at those stores.
We also stopped at a little homerun Amish Bakery. It was awesome you go in and pick from bakegoods on a few shelves then put your money in the bucket and your on your way. It was called The Bakery  there address was 22 n. Camp Ten Rd. Mio Mi 48647. They had wonderful food. Here in michigan if you want to sell any baked goods you have to have a seperate approved kitchen. Theres was set up awesome. You do not need alot of space to get started. There was also a little baby kitten that was there meowing its head off. Calvin said, i think he wants to come home with me. Haha no thank you.
 We also stopped at the Pioneer General Store Its the hardware, everything type store. Calvin finally got his amish hat (thats the reason he wanted to go.) his dad wears one in the summer and he has wanted one.



He is a ham.

So we were in mio about 2 hours, then headed back. Chris had to get back to go on visitation at Church. We had a great time.
