We Have caught the animal

Praise God we have caught the animal.

I did not do an update yesterday, because there really was nothing that had changed, both traps were under the trailer and we were waiting. My hubby did not go and check them out, because he thought maybe our movement was what was causing not to come down. So update to today.

We talked last night and said if you do not catch it today, then we will put our acess panel in the spare room and put the trap coming out of the acess panel. Praise God that did not have to happen. So today after church, he went out to check all the traps. He was gone for quite a while. He came back in about 40 mintues later and said do you want to take a picture of it. Well yes!!. So I got Calvin and I bundled up and went out with the camera. This is what we Got.

Ugly!!!. Yes Folks its a possum. My Dh said, that it had been in our small trap, he could see a foot print in the cat food, but I think because our new trap was so new, it was not sensistive on the catch, or it was to small. Thank the Lord the park had a better trap. So we took the ( I and boy wonder followed) my brave husband out to the woods behind our neighbors house and let the animal go. So we hope and pray that this is the only one under there. I think so. I am wrong alot to though. So that ends our exciting drama around here. Back to regular living on the cement slab.

so glad

Casondra, He is kind of cute. I'm sure your son was excited to see him up close. I think he was just trying to get warm under your trailer. I actually think opossums are good to have around because they eat mice and rats...just not one that keeps you awake and scares you!

Ugh...possums!

Glad you caught the silly thing, what a pest. My hubby has taken up trapping this year for the first time since his childhood. I'm amazed AMAZED that the fur buyer will give money for possums and skunks, crazy huh. He doesn't give much, but with coyotes, racoons and an occasionally other things, the trapping has been a nice side business!

You have a neat blog here...I'm not registered with homesteadblogger, but you can find me at http://homesteepedhope.wordpress.com

Good luck finding the smell! We've been there done that too...:O)
