My first trip to the ER

Posted on Fri 22 Sep 2006 at 09:31

Well I am back from my first trip to the Er in this pregnancy. This may just be the beginning or hopefully the last time, if I can get the docotor and the midwife to work things out and see me today. I need to get a picc line and Iv hydration at home. It is esential in my case.

Well I am back now from my first trip to the hospital. Of this pregnancy. I just could not hold anything down. So went into the er sat in the waiting room 2 hours, then got rehydrated, 3 bags of lactated ringers and two shots of zofran. 4 pokes and 8 hours later I am feeling better.

I am praying that I can get into the consult doctor today. So that I can get set up with a picc today or tommorow, but it being a friday who knows. I know with the fluid, I will last about a day or so, then hit the dirt again.

Why oh why do people blow out veins, then other people come by and need your blood and try and use the blown out vein. smacking a blown out vein, is not my idea of fun.

I did come home with one 4mg zofran odt and a prescrpition for 10 more. I only thought they cam in 8 mg. She was only going to get me a prescription for 2 she said they were really expensive, and she apoligised. Who cares lady, if I am puking my guts out, get me what works, no matter the cost

Well I am starting to not feel so good already, thats why hydration is so so so important. Well I am waiting to hear back from the midwife.

Please pray.

Casondra, I am so sorry to hear how sick you have been. A friend of mine went through the same thing as you, but fortunately in her case it only lasted for the first trimester. I will be praying for you.

Praying for you, Casondra
