My first midwifes appointment
All I can say is praise God for women who are willing to go the extra mile, to do things they no are right. So my first appointment was 1 1/2 hours long. We took alot of my medical history and talked alot about nutrition. I had severe hyperemisis with calvin, and are trying to combat it this time, with diet and herbs. She also gave me a bunch of paperwork to fill out and take back in 4 weeks for my next appointment.
Also it was so nice to actually have someone give you the option of tests done, and not telling you, you had to do them. I know when I was at the doctor before, they never told you they were optional, you just had to have them done. Praise God again for Midwives. It was so nice to be able to say. No thank you and no one brow beat you to death. AH releaf.
She checked for a heartbeat, because my last cycle was kinda short and crazy, but it looks like I am about 5 weeks, so thats ok. No I did not get to hear the heartbeat. Hopefully next time.
We kinda worked out a plan so if I do get sick. So that was nice to have a working plan. Also not be afraid to call the midwife on call. Another relif. I am going to try control it with diet this time, not eating carbs by themselves, having some protien, and eating 6-8 small meals aday. My sugar seems to get crazy and thats why I am nauseated now. I am drinking lots of water, and will start drinking red raseberry leaf tea, as well, and take b-complex vitamins.
So that was the visit.
