Carmel Farm

warmer welcome

    When we bought this farm it had been vacant for a lot of years. Most of it is fenced and the front half at the road is fenced with a gate that has a "no trespassing" sign on the gate and one on the fence. We really like our privacy so that was just fine with us. But after being here a year and a half we realize it isn't real friendly  . So we plan to soon make or get someone to make a welcome sign with the name of our farm "Carmel Farms". Mt Carmel is the place where the fire of God showed up for Elijah. Carmel means fruitful. So that is what it will be, a place of fruitfulness that the Lord shows up at! Anyway, we have a working farm with horses, a milking Jersey cow Daisy, and her calf Dandelion, that will be our next family milk cow. We also have a bunch of laying hens we raise yearly with the 4H program. we also raise rabbits and dairy goats, and the occasional barn kitty. I am sure there is more I am forgetting, but I will get to it. We have 8 youngins, ages 3-17 (1 is with the Lord, www.awesomeglory.com/levi ) and hubby is a minister. Back to farm stuff, I will be sharing a lot here, hopefully you will be interested. My daughter Georgia will teach you how to make butter, my daughter April will teach something or other when she isn't busy sewing www.jumpinbloomers.com , maybe we'll get some of her famous recipes, my younger daughters will be sharing about their new 4H chicks, and maybe we'll get Beau to teach us how he breaks horses.
