• Monday, January 5, 2009 - Sewing and Cleaning
The blizzard passed through here yesterday and at the moment there is a good breeze but otherwise fairly quiet out there.
I spent a good part of yesterday cutting out squares for the quilt I am gong to make for one of our grandson's birthday presents on the 12th. It is so much fun. Mostly cause I think up things to applique on each square~~love it~~
Animals are milling a round the hay bale sort of eating but not really that interested in it. The warmth of the morning air is a real treat for them. It is only -8 this morning so will warm up pretty good through the day. Woo Woo ~~a heat wave~~!! :)
Outside of that it will be a day of sewing and cleaning oops I mean cleaning and sewing~~would NEVER put sewing ahead of cleaning~~well hardly ever~~well only sometimes~~Okay I would do exactly that but because I am of an age that is very disciplined I will do the cleaning and chores first. (mostly just to get them out of the way) I am really anxious to get the quilt done on time and have lots to do in just a few days in order to accomplish that.
I have breakfast out of the way and lunch will be beef barley soup and biscuits supper will be pork and all that can go with that. So that is taken care of too. It feels like freedom to have those things settled in my poor little head.
I think I will go visit the shower and put a load of laundry on too.
The aged women likewise,
that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness,
not false accusers, not given to much wine,
teachers of good things;
that they may teach the young women
to be sober, to love their husbands,
to love their children,
To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home,
good, obedient to their own husbands,
the the word of God be not blasphemed.
Titus 2:3-5
