• Friday, January 2, 2009 - Our New Year's Eve~~What Can I Say
Winter is here gracing our lives with its silver and white and blue hues.When the sun shines (usually around the minus 30' and minus 40's) It dances and sparkles across the snow-covered hay fields and the hoar-frosted trees. The night of New Year's Eve was clear and the awesome silence sourrounded us. the only sounds being the crunching squeaking sound of the dry cold snow. The puppy that was out with us could be heard snuffling and squeaky trucking around the house. Dennis and I headed for the woodpile. He hands me a rifle and at a nod on the stroke of midnight we close our fingers over the triggers. Flashing bullets light up before us and the thundering of gun sounds roll out over the fields, over the trees, over the river and on to the hills ~~travelling~~travelling. We look at each other and laugh. Happy 2009! My love. We look for the pup as she had lit out when the earsplitting noise shattered her little walk in the night. Eventually she was coaxed to come back.
The bed was inviting and the air from a slightly opened window breezed across my face. We cozied in and with thinks of the year to come slipped into dream land.
Do not fret because of evildoers,
Nor be envious of workers of iniquity.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
And wither as the green herb.
Trust in the LORD, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
Delight yourself also in the LORD,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.
Psalm 37:1-6
Go forth in His Love
