Butter and Honey

How?

How in the world could I have had chickens for so many years without realizing?

How could I have scoffed at the fluff-balls in the catalog as useless or decorative only?

Oh, how foolish I was!

How did I manage to resist getting a Silkie for so long?

They are SOOOOOOOOO ADORABLE!

Lord willing, I will never be without one again!!

(there were four Silkies in the Bantam Grab Bag that the children ordered - one white, one buff - most likely a roo, see his little wattles? - and two black.  they are about 6 weeks old now and just too cute!)

I love the silkies. I don't think I'll be getting one anytime soon. We have chickens though, and a momma hen hatched ten eggs. One died though... too bad. I know of two roosters in the bunch. The chicks that were hatched this spring are getting to full size. We have one rooster that looks like our other one, really colourful.

have fun with your chickens!

Oh, way tooooo cute!
I'll have to post a pick of my Cochin banties.
The personalities are just wonderful.
I told hubby, that later when we don't
need all the eggs, I'll just have a flock of
Cochins and most definitly a few Silkies too.
Blessings,
Herbs & Honey
