My Carrots Have Germinated!

That is pretty much all I have to say.  I am so excited.  I just finished planting the bed on Monday afternoon, wasn't it.  I cannot believe they are up so quickly.  My husband was doubtful until the boys chimed in. 

Meanwhile, I think I've killed half of the arugula.  Not enough hardening off before I planted them, I think. 

Lastly, got both the spinaches into the beds today, so that just leaves one flat of redleaf lettuce (Ferrari.....got it for my brother. It's the only Ferrari we will ever own!)

Storms tomorrow night in the forecast, then cooler on Saturday and Sunday.  Hope to get squash planted by the end of the weekend.

Boys dug up 160 grubs today all by themselves.  I wish I knew of a bait shop they could sell them to.  Money is such a motivator for the oldest.  Until I find a bait shop willing to buy our grubs (and they are organic grubs at that!) we will feed them to Mrs. Holcomb's hen, Henrietta. 

No other wildlife moments today.  At least, not yet!  We could still see the coyote Paw Paw told us about three weeks ago.......yikes!
