FREE Bowling Alley in YOUR Home
If your kids like bowling here's a great way to bowl at home for FREE!
Save 10 personal water bottles. We use 16 oz bottles. Grab a ball of any kind. Once you set your pins at one end of a room (or yard) mark the floor with a piece of masking tape for the bowl from line. You can mark an extra line for toddlers who might not be able to aim the ball at the pins over a longer distance.
Want to add some FUN lessons to this activity? Try figuring out some probability equations. Have children keep score on a grease board or piece of paper. Do a little science and fill some of the bottles with some water. How does that affect your game? Fill all of the bottles. Note the differences. Let your kids grab the camera and practice taking action shots. You can really have FUN with this while learning.
Our whole family LOVES this game! Typically we use a little dodge ball type ball. It is small enough that we can hold it and aim without the finger holes of a regular bowling ball. Larger balls would work too, especially for those littletons who need to roll it through their legs. Invite friends to come over for a bowling night. You can easily set up 2 lanes (or more depending on room size). Snacks are way cheaper at home! This is a fun time spent with friends! It's that simple.
These are my thoughts.
