Bees

Posted in Unspecified
Hello Friends!
This week I have been so blessed as I wait on the Lord! Wed. the children and I delivered the bees to a friend here. Each of the children had tears over certain animals that left the farm. For Timmy, it was his bees. He had saved to buy his bees and then the Lord had provided all his bee supplies in miracle ways! I thought we might have more tears when we picked the bees up from the post office however, the Lord had worked on his heart and it was good to hear him say, "Momma are we ready to go get my bees... I mean God's bees?" It finally sunk in... everything we have is the Lords so hold onto it carefully.. not too tight and not carelessly so either.

Our precious friends allowed Timmy to help them put the bees in their new hives. He had such a sweet time. Oh, how he LOVES bees!!! I have posted several photos to share. It was a delightful day, how blessed we are!!

Timmy VERY happy as he takes his bees to the car to deliver to friends

Getting the hives ready

Putting the queen in her spot

Bees getting introduced to their new "hive"

Feeding the bees

Closing the hive and calling it a day

What a wonderful time we had. It was peaceful, joyful and 100% delightful!! We trust the Lord will allow us to have our own hives once we get settled in MO. For now, we thank Him for trusting us to deliver HIS bees to their new caretakers! Precious memories were made!!!

Have a wonderful weekend with your family, we will chat soon!
With much love,
Mrs. Joseph Wood

Mrs Wood,
Can you please give me some advice for my 10 year old son? He is deathly scared of bees. When he was younger he was stung and had a small reaction. Since then he is terrified. What can I do to help him overcome is fears. He was almost hit by a car yesterday running from bees.
Blessings,
~Farrah

God will give and Timmy will get the desires of his little heart again for sure. I know you and family are having a blessed day each day for just being in it with God makes life so thrilling. Thanks for sharing and sending postive thoughts your way as you create a place to dwell in peace, joy, and love and all that goes with it where ever you are. Lovingly, rilda *U*

I enjoyed your blog :)

I just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed reading your blog today. The bee pictures were fantastic...I wish I could borrow your Timmy to come and set me up with bees :) We don't have any and DH is allergic, so if I get them, it will be on me to care for them. I'm nervous to take it on by myself. :)

Thank you for the pictures,
Hugs,
Lisa

Funny Things My Children Have Said:

After several trips to the emergency room with my Timothy. I said, "Timothy, you really must stop hurting yourself like this. Each time we go through that hospital door it is costing Daddy 100.00!" He sweetly replied, "Is there another way we can get in Mommy?"

As Ezekiel and I poured over the garden magazines we ran across the brussel spouts. Ezekiel had never seen them before and with excitment said, "Momma, Look! They sell bite size lettuce!"

As we prepaired to vacume seal our newly butchered chickens. My Beth-Joy said, "Mom I know we want to seal our chickens but I can't figure out how we are going to get that chicken through that skinny slot!"

Rebekah was blessing me and cleaning out my pj drawer when she came across a new bra that I had purchased. In all seriousness she said, "Mom I just can't figure out why you would buy a bra thats only good for 18 hours!"

Jed was about five years old when he ran out to the kitchen and met me with excitement saying, "Mom I think God made my wife last night! I counted my ribs and now I am missing one!"

Matthew and Samuel were playing when the girls and I overheard them and couldn't help but giggle. Matthew wanted to play house and have a baby but Samuel informed him that, "You can't have a baby, Matthew- you're only a 2T"

While driving I often lose cell phone reception with my Joe. I never realized how much the little ones were listening until one day I overheard them say, "Mom and Dad broke up again!" "No Mommy broke up with Daddy" replied Matthew. "No! It was daddy. He broke up with Mommy again!" Replied Sammy. As I listend I thought it was a good thing no one was ease dropping into their coversation- they would think my Joe and I had a pretty rocky marriage! LOL

While on one of our "girls days" Bethany was having a hard time falling asleep. Grandma encouraged her to count sheep. After a few moments of slience we heard Beths sweat voice say, "Thump" We all thought about it for a moment and then Grandma asked, "Beth what was the thump about?" "Oh, one of my sheep ran into the fence.. that's all Grandma." We couldn't stop laughing for at least an hour.
