Welcome to: Acres of Blessings

AB Ranch is on the move...

Posted in Unspecified
Hello dear friends!
I know I have been quiet and I appreciate all of you that checked in on me! You are each precious friends. I have some exciting news to share and was simply waiting for the right time to post.

AB RANCH IS MOVING TO MISSOURI

Dear friends if you had asked us eight days ago if we would ever leave our Ranch here in California I would have laughed and told you NEVER- WE LOVE IT HERE! However, the Lord has asked us to go to new places and we are delighted to obey! My husbands work is leading us states away from what we have always known as home. Yet, we know that He is leading us to a good place and His blessings will  follow us. When I asked my Joe what we would name our new ranch (Once we find and purchase one in MO.) he replied, anywhere we go will be Acres of Blessings because the Lord will always be with us!~

The Lord has exceedingly and abundantly blessed us more than we could have ever imagined and we are delighted to walk with Him on this journey. We have no idea where we will end up, only that we will choose to make it a sweet place and live for His purpose. It will be difficult leaving ones we love here, we don't know anyone in the area we are moving yet we do have sweet friends about three hours from where Joe will be working.  It will also be difficult leaving all the things we love about this property and yet we know... this world is not our home! We want to keep our attention and focus on those things that are eternal.

The Lord has provided, in His wonderful way, homes for our animals. We do have a few that are still waiting to see who their new caretakers will be however, most of them are spoken for.  The home is on the market as of today and we are confident that the Lord is not bound by the market being "slow" or "poor."  We are confident He is the one leading us and He will meet each need! My Joe will start work on the 25th of this month. The children and I will remain on the Ranch until it sells in honor of my parents request. We know the Lord desires for families to be together and trust that the Lord will bring us together again quickly.

Please keep our family in your prayers as we move to a new "land" that we have never even seen before. Pray for my Joe that the Lord will grant him peace and wisdom as he faces each task of taking on a new position and leading his family to a new home. Pray for the children that their hearts will have peace as they see their very loved animals leave and go to new homes, pray for peace in their minds as they worry about being away from daddy. Pray that we can accomplish all the packing, clean up and selling of the property in an efficient manner that doesn't disturb the peace of our home. Remember to praise Him for all He continues to do in our hearts and home... dear friends.... HE IS FAITHFUL!

With much love,
Mrs. Joseph Wood

Oh - it's so good to hear news of you and your big move! I will pray for you that it will all go smoothly and your place will sell in good time and you can all be together again. Missouri sounds a nice place to go to!
I'll look forward to hearing how God provides for you.

neat!

You will be much closer to us, still too far to visit, I suppose, but closer. I pray your move will go smoothly and that finding your new home will go well.

Warmly, ~Melissa

Hallelujah! What an adventure into the unknown.... makes me think of the story of walking on the water. I come into agreement of all you spoke of for prayer. Looking up and being positive in change is the bestest way to overcome all the difficults in advance. I must speak with NO doubt.... Father your words says it and it will and does come to pass to trust you with All our hearts and it shall come to pass. I give you praise for this being a success in all areas. I give you praise for it all is coming to pass in your timing by your ways. In Jesus' Holy Name!!! lovingly, rilda *U*

I was just getting caught up on you and saw this post. Your family will definitely be in my prayers. We moved almost a year ago and I know how uncertain it can be. Bless you and your family.

Welcome to Acres of Blessings also known as: AB-Ranch

My name is Jeanette Wood. I am the wife to my best friend, Joe and the mother to ten blessings. We have been home educating our children since birth- our oldest is 19 and our baby is 4. We have given birth to six children physically and four were born from our hearts through adoption. We are currently living on 40 acres up in the Sierras, near Yosemite National Park. The Lord has blessed us richly! We love to live simply and are filled with Thanks everyday for the good work He has begun in our lives. Grab yourself a cup of tea and enjoy reading the sometimes hillarious and other times heartbreaking activities here at AB-Ranch!

Funny Things My Children Have Said:

After several trips to the emergency room with my Timothy. I said, "Timothy, you really must stop hurting yourself like this. Each time we go through that hospital door it is costing Daddy 100.00!" He sweetly replied, "Is there another way we can get in Mommy?"

As Ezekiel and I poured over the garden magazines we ran across the brussel spouts. Ezekiel had never seen them before and with excitment said, "Momma, Look! They sell bite size lettuce!"

As we prepaired to vacume seal our newly butchered chickens. My Beth-Joy said, "Mom I know we want to seal our chickens but I can't figure out how we are going to get that chicken through that skinny slot!"

Rebekah was blessing me and cleaning out my pj drawer when she came across a new bra that I had purchased. In all seriousness she said, "Mom I just can't figure out why you would buy a bra thats only good for 18 hours!"

Jed was about five years old when he ran out to the kitchen and met me with excitement saying, "Mom I think God made my wife last night! I counted my ribs and now I am missing one!"

Matthew and Samuel were playing when the girls and I overheard them and couldn't help but giggle. Matthew wanted to play house and have a baby but Samuel informed him that, "You can't have a baby, Matthew- you're only a 2T"

While driving I often lose cell phone reception with my Joe. I never realized how much the little ones were listening until one day I overheard them say, "Mom and Dad broke up again!" "No Mommy broke up with Daddy" replied Matthew. "No! It was daddy. He broke up with Mommy again!" Replied Sammy. As I listend I thought it was a good thing no one was ease dropping into their coversation- they would think my Joe and I had a pretty rocky marriage! LOL

While on one of our "girls days" Bethany was having a hard time falling asleep. Grandma encouraged her to count sheep. After a few moments of slience we heard Beths sweat voice say, "Thump" We all thought about it for a moment and then Grandma asked, "Beth what was the thump about?" "Oh, one of my sheep ran into the fence.. that's all Grandma." We couldn't stop laughing for at least an hour.
